I’m excited to share with you all another one of the beautiful and talented young dancers that modeled for my Dana Rae Photography dancer project. Last month I met Miss Laurel and her mom at the Suffolk Center for the Cultural Arts in Suffolk, VA. I had gotten to work with Laurel and her mom and two sisters for a mommy and me session last year and this family is just the sweetest! 🙂 While one of Laurel’s sisters was inside for a production rehearsal, we had a lot of fun outside taking photos of Laurel in a couple of her past dance costumes.

Martha Graham was quoted to say that “Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” It is amazing to see the love of dance that these young ladies have. You can tell by the way they hold themselves. How they light up when they put on their dance costumes and attire and especially when they put on their dance shoes. Dance is their love right now and you get a glimpse of what makes their heart and soul happy. Thank you Miss Laurel for being a wonderful model and sharing your love of dance with everyone. Keep working hard and dancing with your heart.
