It has been wonderful working with each and every dancer for my new dancer project. They have all been different in the ways they go into poses, yet the same. Dancers have a way of moving but every one adds their own individual personality. Back in June I got to meet another pair of beautiful young ladies, along with their mamas, in beautiful downtown Smithfield, VA. I love the feel of the downtown area. It truly is quaint and has that southern charm. It was the perfect backdrop for Caterina and Kyndall’s gorgeous dance session. And bonus they got to have ice cream a the Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor afterwards.

These beautiful young dancers are still new to pointe, but they did an awesome job of nailing the poses I gave them. And they look so much older than they are with the way they hold themselves. They look like prima ballerinas with maturity and grace.  We did loosen up and had some fun with some modern posing and a little contemporary as well. And because these two are also friends we had did some sweet poses at the end showing off their friendship through dance. I am so excited to add these photos to the Dana Rae Photography Dancer Project. Enjoy just a few of the many photos we were able to capture in Smithfield.
