The Art of Imperfect Workshop | Lifestyle Family Workshop with Erin Ammons Photography

A couple of weeks ago I finally got to meet Erin Ammons, a family and lifestyle photographer that I’ve been social media friends with for quite awhile. It’s funny how these days you can feel like you know someone so well and yet never have met them. Erin is an amazing photographer based in Virginia Beach and I just love seeing all of her photos. Whether they are of her own two adorable girls, the families that she works with, or the mom photographers that she teaches how to take better photos of their own children, her posts are always fun. She is a storyteller, a teacher, a mom and all of these wonderful traits show through her work. I was so excited when I found out she was hosting a lifestyle family workshop for photographers and knew I had to sign up.

Erin hosted her first The Art of Imperfect workshop where she shared her heart for lifestyle family photography. She was so encouraging and let us in on the ways she helps families have fun and interact naturally during their photo sessions with her. Lifestyle photography is my absolute favorite style of photography and I was happy to learn new ways to encourage the families I work with to relax and play and enjoy their sessions with me. Erin was wonderful enough to have two families model for us so that we could put into practice the tips and tricks she shared with us.

Thank you so much to the Fulrath and Meek families for being such fun and wonderful models. Also, thank you to Blushtones make-up artist Meg Bryan for doing an amazing job on these gorgeous mamas!
