Santa Mini Sessions | Fundraiser to benefit Baby Joshua

So I know that Christmas is technically over, but we are still listening to the music and watching the movies. At the beginning of December I hosted my first ever Santa mini sessions. I have to say they went really well. We had a few cry and a couple that were a little timid, but overall they were a success. And I think everyone loved the laid back atmosphere. It was nice to have a set time and not feel rushed or overwhelmed like with other Santa photo opportunities. Santa himself was pretty awesome too and I think he really enjoyed the photos.

Some of you may know that I have a very dear friend who’s baby has had quite the fight since before he was born. Baby Joshua had a blockage when he was still in utero that caused damage to his kidney’s . This tough little guy has beat so many odds and has totally surprised all of his doctors. I’ve shared his story on social media here and there. Next year, Baby Joshua will be needing his first kidney transplant. Such a huge surgery for such a little guy.

I’ve wanted to find a way to help his family with the financial part of his fight and Santa mini sessions seemed like a perfect opportunity. And the sweet guy who offered to be Santa is the uncle to Baby Joshua. He did a fantastic job and really got a lot of joy out of being Santa and helping his family with this benefit fundraiser.

Thank you so much to all the wonderful families that signed up for the Santa mini sessions. Thank you for donating to Baby Joshua’s family and helping with their medical expenses. And thank you so much for driving out to spend a few minutes capturing some special Christmas memories. I know I can say I appreciate you all so much and I know Baby Joshua’s family does as well.

If you would like to help the Buchheit family and Baby Joshua, a financial donation can be made using this link PayPal.me/TeamPee . If you use the “friends and family” option there shouldn’t be a fee.

Here are a few of my favorites from the first Santa mini sessions. I just love them and I’m seriously considering doing them again next year.

This little one loved Santa so much, she was ready to take a nap in his arms!! <3
