Fort Boykin beach in Smithfield is becoming one of my new favorite places. We had the most perfect weather for the Marshall family’s beach session last weekend. I seriously love getting to photograph families and capturing their beautiful story.  And this family had such a great time and we almost had the beach completely to ourselves.

Lately, I have had families with kids who are complete beach babies. These two were no different. It was all we could do to keep their baby girl out of the water. She reminded me so much of my own little girl. Both cute as can be, sweet, but fearless and they want to go straight out into the water and not stop. It’s like they believe they’ll just turn into a mermaid or fish and it’ll be ok. It gives us mama’s a heart attack, but our little girls just squeal with joy! Thankfully she has a sweet older brother to help keep her safe and watch over her too.

Thank you so much Marshall family for allowing me to spend some time with you on the beach and capture your family during this time in your life. I truly believe it is so important to document life and often as our babies grow up so fast and soon they won’t be babies any more.
