I started the Dana Rae Photography dancer project last year as a way to join together my love for photography and dance. It’s been a little while since I had a beautiful dancer in front of my camera.  A few weeks ago though I met up with Brooke and her mom at the CNU campus in Newport News, VA. I’ve known Brooke for several years and I’ve had the joy of watching her grow into a beautiful and strong young woman and dancer.

The campus of Christopher Newport University and The Ferguson Center for the Arts is just gorgeous and I’ve been dying to shoot a dance session there. It all came together wonderfully, a gorgeous dancer and a gorgeous location.
