It is always an honor when I get to photograph a family in their own home. Lifestyle family sessions are my favorite. I love the casual, laid-back feel of being in your own home and not having to worry about the weather or making a drive to a location. Children especially feel more comfortable in their own home and are more likely to show their natural personality. I was privileged to photograph the Hodges family for their lifestyle newborn session just before Christmas.

Bob and Sarah welcomed their second child to their family this past fall. Along with their sweet daughter, they are now a family of four. Everyone seems to have fallen quickly in love with their new baby boy. He was such a good baby during the time I got to visit with them. He only fell asleep for a little while, but the beauty of lifestyle sessions is that you don’t have to have a sleeping baby to get beautiful photos. I actually love when babies are alert and awake and get to see how they interact with their new family.  He especially seemed to love the lights on their Christmas tree.

Thank you so much to the Hodges family for allowing me to capture some of these precious memories of the first chapter as a family of four. You all have a warm and beautiful family as well as your home. It was an honor to photograph your sweet baby boy and all of you as you shared some sweet moments during your day.
