I’ve been wanting to do a Fresh 48 session for a long time, but the circumstances just never seemed to work out. Last week though I had the honor of capturing the first photos for the Clements family as they welcomed their newest family member.

Brandy and Aaron are a big part of Elevate Church and through serving we’ve come to know each other and call one another friends. Brandy modeled for me during a maternity session with other Elevate mamas. When it grew closer to her due date, I reached out to see if she would allow me to capture some precious photos for her family during their time in the hospital after the birth of her new son. She said yes and was delighted for the opportunity to have these beautiful photos for her family.

I know just how precious these photos are since we too have photographs taken in the hospital when my daughter was born. They are some of my most treasured photos. I truly hope to be able to more of these sessions. I know birth photography isn’t for everyone, although I think it is just beautiful. Fresh 48 sessions give you a chance to breathe and rest up before having those beautiful moments captured.
